What students have said:
"To be enabled to explore the apparently infinite possibilities of colour by this perceptive teacher, has been a rare lifetime’s opportunity for me. From the initial point of a shared idea or theme, Roger enables each individual within the group to find a way of expressing their own ideas.” L.K.
"Roger’s Studio Painting Group has enabled me to reconnect with art practice [and] to learn what I failed to assimilate in my degree studies." S.L.
"I came to Roger’s classes in search of solid training in technique. Roger has been an important influence on my growing confidence as a painter, and I would highly recommend his classes to anyone who wants to extend their understanding of painting." S.F.
"Roger Dennis is a wonderful teacher. He has gently opened my eyes to many aspects of image making with paint and brush. Three years ago I could draw and illustrate books but not paint but now I am an addict." M.L.
“It wasn’t until I joined the Chudleigh Group with the gentle encouragement of Roger Dennis that I felt the freedom and pleasure that comes from a good morning’s painting.” P.L.
"Roger brings on students according to their individual needs, whilst staying firmly within a tradition that respects colour theory, as well as the importance of tone and drawing. My own painting has been transformed by attendance." P.T.
"It’s allowed me to develop the free spirit of the painter in me." J.T.
"I have received real direction and encouragement as well as meeting a very interesting group of people." J.J.K.
